About Us

Our Story

At AZ Wild West Preserves Farm & Ranch, what we do isn’t new—it’s something we were raised in. My family has been in Arizona since the 1800s, and some of my earliest memories are of watching my grandmothers can and preserve what they grew. Mark grew up visiting his grandparents’ farm, learning firsthand what it means to work the land and respect where food comes from. Long before this became a business, this was just how we lived.

Today, that way of life has grown into something we get to share.

What started with small-batch jams, jellies, and fruit butters has expanded into a full line of farm-made goods—each one made with intention, care, and a commitment to doing things the right way. From infused vinegars and loose-leaf teas to homemade vanilla, lard, and tallow, everything we create comes from the same mindset: use what you have, waste nothing, and make it well.

This is a working farm in the Arizona desert. That means early mornings, long days, and learning to adapt in a place that doesn’t always make it easy. It means hauling water, building shade, watching the weather, and figuring things out as you go. It’s not always pretty—but it’s always real.

We’re building this farm with the future in mind—using permaculture practices, working to green the desert, and creating something that’s sustainable not just for us, but for the land and the community around us.

Most weekends, you’ll find us at farmers' markets across the West Valley, where we sell directly to our customers. That part matters to us. We don’t just want to sell you something—we want you to know where it came from, how it was made, and who made it.

Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just about what’s in the jar. It’s about the work behind it, the history that shaped it, and the belief that real food—made the right way—still matters.

From our farm to your table, we’re honored to share a piece of that with you.
